Grouper Fishing with Miami fly Fishing charters

Grouper fishing in South Florida is great all year long. We
have many species of Grouper to choose from but the 3
most common species are the Goliath, Gag, and Black
Groupers. They can be caught anywhere from 1 to 800
pounds even on the worst weather days.

Ever dream of catching a Big Fish?
Well if you have a craving to pull on something really big we
can certainly take care of you. In South Florida and
especially The Florida Everglades we have a species called
the Goliath Grouper. It has been protected now for almost
20 years which means they are catch and release only. This
has allowed the population to raise so much that often they
are a menace to fisherman trying to catch other species. On
our fishing trips it is quite common to catch several fish
between 5 and 80 pounds on light tackle.

What time of year is best to catch Grouper?
Groupers can be caught in South Florida all year long.
There seems to be really no time of year that is better than
the other as well. Groupers have a tendency to be resident
fish over certain reefs and structure. Therefore, if you want
to catch a grouper you really need to give us a call.

What if I don't know if I can handle a monster
Goliath Grouper?
Well not to worry we have all size groupers here in South
Florida. Normally the saying is Big Bait = Big Fish so just
reverse that saying and we can find one for all ages and all
skill levels.
